Delete log

Hello!

First of all, thanks for this amazing app! REI3 possibility is amazing!

Question:
Is there a possibility to make a log for a deleted item? For example: i have an app (i made it myself) which is it asset manager and i want to have some kind of information on asset delete. When i make a new asset and edit it after is everything okay and i see the changes i make but when i make an asset and delete it afterwards there is no information in logs.

Is there any way to make deletion logs? Maybe additional relation? I am clueless.

Hello and welcome to the forum 🙂

There are 2 options that come to mind:

You do not allow deletion and only mark something as "inactive" or "deleted". Then all your data would stay but could be filtered out on most forms/lists. This is the most straightforward solution and it would keep all history data (eg. all the changes to a record that happened over its lifetime).
You create a trigger backend function that copies data before deletion to another relation. Then you would have your original relation clean of the old data, and only what you copy over would exist on the "deleted assets" relation.
