It´s a valid idea - just complicated to implement because components, like lists, are very intertwined with their local context. They access form states, variable values, fields and so on. Copying them to another context, like another form, would break references.
Copying in the same context (ie. copying a field within the same form) would be much simpler - but it would only make sense for specific field types (like lists or calendars) and not be valid for others (like input fields).
To make this usable would be a lot of work. We need to think about whether it´s worth the effort to implement.
