s/mime signed emails - fails to retrieve from IMAP

Dears,

I'm struggling with s/mime signed emails arriving in a IMAP mailbox. Those are not getting retrieved from the mailbox with the following error in the log:

failed to retrieve from 'XXXXX', tls: failed to verify certificate: x509: certificate has expired or is not yet valid: current time 2025-11-25T07:44:45Z is after 2025-11-25T07:38:06Z

Any idea where to start looking for a solution?

Answer to myself: problem found, it was the mail server working with an expired ssl certificate.
