Communication within a Task/Project Task

Hi,

I couldn’t figure out how to communicate within a task request. There doesn’t seem to be a chat tab or anything similar, only a Notes tab. However, it’s not possible to @mention anyone there. How do you usually communicate within a task — for example, with the requester or other team members?

REI3, the platform, does not have an integrated chat feature at the moment. It is possible to build a chat application - but to my knowledge, nobody did this so far.

When I need to communicate with my colleagures, I use dedicated tools for that. Most apps, like REI3 Tasks, have features to make refering to things easy - like using task keys, which are a unique code for each task.

Trying to use the project feature this time, but how do I share it with colleagues, I set them as member of the project. I tested one account myself to be a member of the team, but "no access" Error even though I set myself as a member.

Do not worry I've fixed this issue. The problem is that the team member I used has the same name.

Just an update, can we set members as read only of the project? It seems every member can edit.
I just want some members to be observers only, if this is available.

It depends on what you mean with "edit". Every team member of a project, can work on the project and make changes.

If you just want to separate project management from task execution, you can assign tasks to people outside of the project team for execution.

This however excludes these people from viewing the project itself, if I remember correctly. A role/permission to just see but not work on the project does not currently exist.
