Collapse side menu by default

Hi,
I'd like to know if there is any way to start and application with the side menu collapsed by default.
That could be an existing option of the UI (I couldn't find one), or programatically via a frontend function?

By collapsed I mean hidden to the left, like when you press the doble arrow button.

No this option does not exist at the moment.
What are the use cases you see where this would be helpful?

How are you?

My use case would be to present a landing page in the style of a web page, with static or summarized information embedded into an iframe that takes all the screen (or most of the screeen).
This page would be of "public access" or mainly for unpriviledged users that just need that kind of information and no need for having the menu space taken by anything else.
For example inside a Firm could be an information page, with news, blog posts, and that sort of thing.
I know I can achieve the same with a regular web page, but I found it interesting to be able to consolidate it in the same application in case I needed to access any relevant information to show the user, or to restrict access to a certain group of people.
It could also be an internal dashboard for a particular area of the Firm.
These users won't be able to operate the system, becuse they won't have other privileges, but they might need to see the status of certain things, some static and some that change over time.

I understand there is no UI option to achieve this, however if you can think of an uncomplicated workaround, it would be nice to know.

I'll leave a couple of examples here. Sorry they are in Spanish :-).

Thank you for providing details on your use cases.

I´ve checked our docs again and I´ve found that we have an URL parameter available for embedding r3 apps in iframes that might be helpful here.

If you add the parameter menu-app=0 to the URL of your r3 instance, the application menu will be gone completely. This only works if you open a new tab with this parameter - it does nothing if you add it to an already active r3 session.

The URL could look something like this:

There is another option menu-header=0 that hides the header bar.

We have loads of UI element feature requests on our wishlist since way before r3 2.x that would make these kinds of dashboards much cleaner. I am looking forward to working on them if I get the chance.
