Email Ticket Commands

It doesn't appear that we can control tickets by replying to the emails generated. Is this feature on the roadmap?

Commands like #assign, #close, #priority, #due, would all be very helpful. It's the biggest feature we're missing during our testing of the ticketing module.

Hi @Horizon and welcome to the forum,

the feature is currently not on our roadmap, because no one requested it so far - but it does sound very useful to me. I think the commands should be customizable, so that you control which commands can be used.

Of course i can add this feature to our whishlist, unfortunately i cannot tell you when we can implement it. Currently we have to prioritize feature requests from our customers.

Thank you very much for the quick response. We're really enjoying our test environment and we think you have a great product.

I completely understand the priority of requests. Thank you for considering it. I agree that having an area to create customized commands would be excellent.

We don't expose the ticketing system to the internet. If we are remote, much of the ticketing process happens through email and being able to quickly modify the ticket without logging into the dashboard has been one of our most used features in our old ticketing system.

If your tests go well and it´s only this feature that would make the tool perfect for your use case, we can talk about how much effort this would actually take. As REI3 Tickets is based on low-code, feature implementation is often a matter of hours not days, though it depends on the details of course.
