Overcoming reporting problems

Hello everyone, does anyone have any ideas on how to overcome the problems we are facing when generating reports in REI3?
Some of the issues I have in mind are as follows:
1- Displaying totals when generating CSV output. Given that REI3 does not allow column totals to be displayed by default on the footer, how do you add totals when generating the output?
2- If instead of generating a CSV output, we generate a PDF file, how do you solve issues such as displaying the header as a fixed number on each page, or breaking each row of information only at the top or bottom of the new page, or displaying part of the information on the new page (when we save the generated file, the rules for breaking the lines in the style sheet are apparently not followed)?

Totals in CSV do not make sense by definition. A CSV defines a list of values, where values for every row are of the same type. A total row has values of a different type than the rows above it. CSV is usually used for data exchange (export/import). You can use data from CSV, to pump into a reporting tool (Crystal Reports, BIRT, etc.) to generate reports with totals of course. But a CSV is generally not a report.
Our internal PDF generation capability is currently limited; what you describe is not possible with it. However, there are many external tools available to access data via SQL and generate whatever PDF output you desire. You might need to pay some money for some of those tools, but you are not limited to the tools that r3 provides. Wherever possible, we chose to use standards for r3 (relational databases, CSV, REST, JSON, etc.) so that it is straightforward to use other tools to solve requirements. While we will introduce another PDF generator in r3 in the future, there will always be limitations to what we can offer internally.

gabriel Thank you for your response. actually i wanted to implement reporting features in my app created with REI3, but as you saied , it seems the best approach is to some how, integrate my app with external tools or application to get best result.
