Delete Error prompt on saving

Delete error prompted when I was trying to save the new record.

I can't debug properly since I am unsure where the root cause is by looking the the error prompt, is there a full concise description of the error where I can trace back to the root cause?

Hi,
sounds like you use a trigger function - 2 possible causes:

you are using a DELETE FROM statement inside your function,

your return statement is not new.
In your last post you mentioned an issue while deleting data. If you are using a single trigger on NEW, UPDATE AND DELETE you should seperate your trigger functions or at least you have to work with a separate RETURN clause. In PGSQL you can identify this via the 'TG_OP' variable. So you could use the following code to identify the current state:

IF (TG_OP = 'INSERT') THEN

END IF;
IF (TG_OP = 'UPDATE') THEN

END IF;
IF (TG_OP = 'DELETE') THEN

Thanks, it was on one of the trigger function which called another custom functions.

This was the cause of it, did I use the function wrongly?

I've solved it
