YogiYang Hello, I have setup R3 on my personal VPS but I have to restart is almost every morning before I can use it. I have followed all the steps listed in documentation. Why must this be happening? And how to solve it? TIA Yogi Yang
redballoon Too little RAM? I use 4GB RAM, but no VPS. But own server under Proxmox. No problem. With 2GB, the server stopped after a save. So I increase the RAM. Are there any clues in the log? Otherwise you have to wait for the answer of the specialists...
YogiYang My VPS has 8GB RAM for REI3 (which is the only server running) so I feel that is not the problem.
gabriel Memory should not be the problem. We´ve been running productive REI3 instances on 512MB potatoes. The demo & repository systems for REI3 also run all year with only 2GB. To identify the issue, I need more information. Could you please answer the following questions: Is your entire server (your VPS) non-responsive or can you still login into the server itself? If it is not responsive: In this case we have to look at the server. Either something broke or you lost access to it. Some cloud service providers put their systems to sleep to save money when they are not used. It could also be a network issue. If it is responsive How does it look on the client side (the web browser you use to access REI3)? Do you get a login screen? Any error messages? Maybe you could send a screenshot. Please send the response of this command - it tells us the state of the REI3 system service. You need to execute this command with root permissions on the REI3 server: systemctl status rei3 Have you tried completely resetting your browser cache? Are you running in Docker? If yes, are your containers stopped when you need to restart?
