Cannot import an exported application

Hello, I am trying to import an application I exported but the process fails. In the logs it says:
"could not finish module import, x509: failed to parse public key (use ParsePKIXPublicKey instead for this key format)"

I created my key pair using both the tool that is provided in Rei3 admin panel and an external tool. I have also inserted my public key in the System -> Application repository.

Can you please help me?

From the error it seems like the format of the inserted public key is invalid. Could you please share what you inserted? The public key is not secret and can be shared without issue.

To get the inserted key:
r3 -> Admin panel -> System -> Application repository -> Trusted key management -> Click on the magnifying glass next to your entry.

The public key must conform to this format to be valid:
-----BEGIN RSA PUBLIC KEY----- [LOADS OF CHARACTERS] -----END RSA PUBLIC KEY-----

The format seems fine enough.

What do you mean with "I created my key pair both the REI3 tool and an external tool"? Do you mean you tested both approaches and both did not work or did you created one key with the internal tool and the other with the external tool? Or did you do any conversations?

To test you can always create a new key pair, import the new public key and try the export with the new private key.

Let's assume I want to export the app "Test App".

First I created the pair with the Rei3 tool. I inserted the public key in the System -> Application repository -> Trusted key management. Then I exported the application by inserting the private key. I renamed the app in the machine to "Test App 2". Then I tried importing the "Test App" in the same machine, but it failed. I got the error that I mentioned in my first comment.

Then I tried the same steps but having created the key pair using a third-party tool (https://www.devglan.com/online-tools/rsa-encryption-decryption). I followed the exact same steps, but got the exact same error in the logs.

As we, and many others, are doing exports/imports regularly, I assume there is something basic going wrong here.

Is it possible for you to make your app available to me so that I can test an import on my machine? If you do not want to share it publicly, you can send it to me via gabriel.herbert@rei3.de

The email arrived, thank you. Unfortunately the public key you posted in this thread does not match the private key with which the app was signed. Could you please provide the corresponding public key?

Hello Gabriel,

It went at the junk and just saw it when I entered the forum to send you a message. I managed to solve the issue. The issue was the cloudflare proxy. I had enabled cloudflare proxy in my DNS settings in Cloudflare. Once I disabled it worked fine!
