gabriel Thanks for the explanation. If I may, I would like to suggest something. Since you guys are going to improve the quick search feature (currently postponed, but I believe still considered for future updates?) by including some columns and ignoring some other columns, could you consider including hidden column in the options as well?
Here is one example where this would be really useful. In a lot of database we have names, book/article titles, etc that are not easily searched because users don't usually remember the exact names in database. So we include tags, or search keywords. However, we don't want to show it in the table (not really pretty to show all keywords, and they can take unnecessary display space). If we can hide the keywords column, but include it in the quick search, that would be really useful. In my use cases, we often need to pick a chemical from our ingredients database. However some people would search by local language, some english, and some brand names (sodium bicarbonate, sodium bikarbonat, baking soda, sodium hydrogen carbonate, all refer to same product).
