Import/Export to/from Password Safe

Hi,
I have a bunch of passwords in a keepassx database that I'd like to add to REI3's Password Safe. Is there a way to do this? We have a group admin in Password Safe who has access to all groups, so he can create the entries.

We'd also like to be able to, from time to time, export all entries in Password Safe to a CSV file or similar, including the passwords for keeping as a hardcopy in a safe. Can this be done?

Hi @albertros,

this isn't possible atm because our current csv feature is on the backend and can't handle an e2e encryption. Maybe we find ways in the future to process this on the front end.

My colleague is correct. Because both writing (for importing a CSV file) and reading (for dumping all entries to a file) need to go through the E2E encryption, they need to happen on the frontend.

Doing this in the browser is technically possible, but it would take multiple days of engineering to get it done.

We have other clients that also want this feature. Would your organization be interested in sponsoring part of the development effort so that we can implement CSV import/export of E2EE data in REI3? If we find 2-3 interested parties, we could prioritize this feature and get it done soon & cheaply for all involved.

Hi guys,
Well, getting my customer to sponsor this is probably close to impossible since they're in the public sector. Just getting a doorknob replaced takes at least 8 months..

We´ve a released a new version of the PW Safe with CSV import/export options. If it´s still relevant, you can now update from the repository.
