Thanks Gabriel
Not sure I have explained my requirements properly. I'll trye again...
I have the following scenarios:
1) I have a facility table where I have values like Hall for events, Ground for events, River View Room for stay, Lake View Room for stay, Orchard View Room for stay etc.
When making a booking I have to select one or more facilities (facility records) and link it with facility booking record.
I created booked_facilities table with [n:1] relationship attribute booking_id and [1:1] relationship attribute facility_id.
2) I have a fincancial_transactions table where we have information such as date, payer, payee, amount, mode of payment (cash, account transfer, google pay etc.) etc.
2a) Single Booking can have multiple payments (which is nothing but a financial transaction). I plan to create a link table booking_payments with [n:1] relationship attribute booking_id and [1:1] relationship attribute financial_transaction__id.
2b) Single Purchases can have multiple payments (which is also a financial transaction). I plan to create a link table purchase_payments with [n:1] relationship attribute purchase_id and [1:1] relationship attribute financial_transaction__id.
2c) Single Salary to employees (another financial transaction). I plan to create a link table employee_payments with [n:1] relationship attribute employee_id and [1:1] relationship attribute financial_transaction__id.

I did not understand the video where on a "semester" page multiple students can be selected using checkbox for a semester. If a can reproduce it, I can use it for scenario "1" where multiple facilities are selected for a single booking.
Am I on the right track?
Cheers
