Mixed data between fields of different attributes

Hello,

I encountered a weird thing with my app. So basically I have a relation 'product' with several attributes like name, code, etc. And then I have separate relations 'product_picture' (files) and 'product_data' (files) ; each has one-to-one relationship with the relation 'product'. The problem is in my editing form, somehow when I add data to the 'product_data' it would add the pdf or whatever file to the 'product_picture' instead of 'product_data'.

I don't understand why it happens, but it's kind of weird that they even have different relations but somehow the fields got mixed up.

You mean that on the form, when you add a file to the input field of product_picture it would show up in the input field of product_data? Am I understanding this correctly?

I will try to replicate this behaviour. Could you share a screenshot of your form inside the Builder as a reference?

Ok, I was able to replicate this behaviour in my lunch break... this definitely looks like a bug. Thank you for reporting it!

Wow that was fast, not only you replicate the issue within 5 minutes, but also during lunch break.

Anyways, just additional information. It seems if I create another editing page and add the 'product_picture' data from that page (meaning I separate the two data entry), then the data seems to be correctly inputted. So I would guess that the error is in the form page. It seems that if we have two entry fields, both with 'files' type then the 'add' button would somehow fail to enter the data to the correct relation.

Hope you guys find the bug and fix it.

I´ve found the cause and a solution as well - the bug will be fixed with the next release (3.7) which is currently being tested. It should not be long. 🙂
