Only way to show a change log is to pull from a repository?

Hi, am I right in understanding that the only way to see a change log in the admin > applications list is to pull the app from a remote repository? A file import does not have or bring in a change log?

Change logs are currently not part of application files. Instead there is the application REI3 Repository, which tracks and offers application releases and their individual change logs. Other R3 instances then contact this app and download meta information (current release, versions, change logs, etc.).

Because REI3 Repository is also just another R3 app, anyone can run their own.
